Trees In Trust
Ontario Nature partnered with Trees In Trust from 2007 to March 2016, raising more than $36,000 to plant trees on three of Ontario Nature’s nature reserves. These trees will help save all of our forests by keeping harmful carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. Trees In Trust has is no longer in operation, but you can still see your plot here.
The Canadian government estimates that Canadians produce 7 tonnes of carbon dioxide on heating, lighting and home appliances, and driving a mid-sized car 15,000 kilometres per year. An acre of mature trees can capture 2.6 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
The legacy of Trees In Trust will continue indefinitely on Ontario Nature’s nature reserves. Please continue to support our work by making a donation directly to Ontario Nature.
