Webinar on Upcoming Greenway Projects

You're invited to join Ontario Nature for a Greenway Program webinar on November 26. This hour-long session will focus on two new projects within our Greenway Program, the Best Practices Guide to Natural Heritage Systems Planning and Biodiversity Offsetting. Josh Wise, Greenway Program Coordinator and Sarah Hedges, Conservation Education Coordinator will host the webinar. Ontario Nature Produces Video on Dog-strangling Vine

Ontario Nature is pleased to announce the release of our new dog-strangling vine (DSV) control video, created with the generous assistance of Toronto Botanical Garden (TBG). Matt Jenkins, a summer intern at Ontario Nature, conceived of and produced this video after learning about DSV at TBG and then noticing its dominance in many ravines and parks. Lost Bay Nature Reserve $10,000 Closer to New Addition

We'd like to extend a warm "thank you" to the Kingston Field Naturalists who have generously contributed $10,000 toward the addition of the final segment to our Lost Bay Nature Reserve. Named for the eastern arm of Lake Gananoque, the 103-hectare Lost Bay Nature Reserve is part of the Algonquin to Adirondack Connection. South Lake Simcoe Naturalists Present "Bees & Agricultural Pesticides", October 23

Join the South Lake Simcoe Naturalists at 7:30pm on October 23 for their annual conservation presentation event. The evening will feature an illustrated talk by Sue Chan of Farms at Work about neonicotinoid pesticide use and other issues affecting Canada's bees. There will be a silent auction and bake sale following the talk. The event will take place at Egypt Hall in Pefferlaw. Scotiabank Run - Thank You for Your Support!

Congratulations to Team Ontario Nature who raised $12,000 at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Sunday October 19! With a lot of heart and hard work, our team members participated in the 5km walk/run and half marathon walk/run races to help raise support to protect Ontario's pollinators.
