Curious naturalists seek adventure, companionship, quiet walks in the woods and possible romance - between the birds and bees that is! Sudbury Naturalists are a spirited group that hikes, paddles, skis and snowshoes together while enjoying nature in the wonderful landscapes of Northern Ontario. Our monthly guest speaker series features a dynamic selection of experts whose topics range from rocks and lichens, to wildflowers, birds, bees and mammals - and everything in between!
Sudbury Naturalists also help the environment through hands-on involvement in numerous protection activities. Rehabilitation and restoration of damaged stream and terrestrial habitats, loon, bird and butterfly surveys, peregrine falcon monitoring and representation on Sudbury Ministry of Natural Resources' Local Citizens Committee are just a sample of projects members contribute to. Monthly newsletters keep members up to date on upcoming events and news. Looking for an adventure? Why not join us!
