Friends of Killarney Park

Town: Killarney

Ontario Nature Region: Northern - East

Friends of Killarney Park is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to furthering educational and interpretive programs in the park. Established in 1986, the Friends encourage and support the goals of Killarney Provincial Park and its mandate for protection, preservation, education, recreation and interpretive programs relating to the natural, scientific, historic and cultural resources of the park.

Financial support from donations and memberships enables the Friends to organize special events and undertake special protection and education projects. Examples of projects we have assisted with are the Killarney Provincial Park Canoe Guide; natural heritage education; acid lake recovery research, historical and cultural research; campground rehabilitation and clean up; and maintenance of cross-country ski trails. Our members are vital to our organization and their support both financial and volunteer time makes our work possible. You can support the Friends of Killarney Park by becoming a member or a donor. The Friends truly values its members. Help make a difference. Become a Friend!
