Town: Oakville

Ontario Nature Region: Carolinian East

Incorporated in 1995, the Friends of Bronte Creek is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the natural, cultural and educational resources of Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville. This passionate group of volunteers works tirelessly to support educational programming and research within the park, as well as contributing to building and trail maintenance. Recent projects include expanding historical demonstrations for the annual Maple Syrup Festival, annual litter clean ups on Earth Day, the purchase of a laptop to facilitate environmental evening programs at the campground, repairs of several small barn buildings in the 1899 farm yard and the creation of a new fall Harvest Festival to highlight local agricultural practices in the late Victorian period.
