Youth Leadership Weekend

November 5 - 7, 2010

Thanks to everyone who attended Ontario Nature’s Youth Leadership Weekend!

Nearly two-dozen teens from across the province joined us at the Toronto Zoo to form Ontario Nature’s first-ever Youth Council and to learn about leadership, conservation volunteering, campaigning, fundraising and more.

Participants had a great time at Matt Tod’s leadership workshop and the storytelling session with Aboriginal elder, Garry Sault, as well as Neil Ever Osborne’s nature photography workshop and presentations by EcoSource and the Peel Environmental Youth Alliance. A behind-the-scenes tour of the Toronto Zoo allowed us to get up close and personal with lions, rhinos and elephants and we also entered the Toronto Zoo’s Guinness World Records Challenge, Yo-Yo for the Dodo!

For more information on the Youth Council, visit our new Youth Council webpage.

Check out our photo gallery and testimonials below for more information on a terrific weekend.
