Our Special Spaces 2017 Stratford pollinator planting Barb Hacking

Activities and Events

Our Special Spaces

In spring 2017, members of Ontario Nature’s Youth Council hosted ten pollinator habitat creation events in communities across Ontario in partnership with local groups. Thank you to the event partners and 289 volunteers who helped make the events a success by planting over 2,700 native wildflowers, shrubs and trees beneficial to wild pollinators.

Since 2011, hundreds of people have joined the Our Special Spaces events and contributed to conservation efforts in their communities by creating pollinator habitat, planting trees, picking up litter, doing trail maintenance and cleaning shorelines. Click here to learn more about past events.

Please contact Christine Ambre to get more information or about sponsorship inquiries at christinea@ontarionature.org or (416) 444-8419 ext. 244.
