Northern Bobwhite: The Northern Bobwhite is a small grassland bird of southern Ontario whose numbers have declined steadily over the past century.

     
 

Spiny Softshell Turtle: Known as the "pancake turtle" because of its flat, round body, the Spiny Softshell Turtle has disappeared from much of its former range throughout the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River watershed.

     
 

Redside Dace: A brightly coloured fish that jumps out of the water to catch insect prey, the Redside Dace requires clear, cool streams for its survival. Populations of the fish are currently declining in Ontario , and may have disappeared completely from some areas.
