Nature Network

Ontario Nature is built on a strong foundation of commitment and concern for nature and natural places that is shared by a province-wide network of groups and individuals. Together with more than 140 local community conservation groups, we are Ontario’s Nature Network, the provincial voice for nature.

The Nature Network connects Ontario Nature with people working to make their communities better places in which to live. It is a dynamic vehicle through which Ontario Nature brings provincial initiatives to the local level and through which community groups bring local efforts and concerns to provincial attention.

Many of Ontario Nature’s conservation initiatives would not have been possible without the help and support of the groups in the Nature Network.

Ontario Nature and its member groups provide provincial leadership in parks and protected areas, land-use planning policies and conservation science. Each group has its own schedule of events: day hikes, guest speakers, monthly forms and special outings. If you're interested in joining a nature group in your community, this is the place to look. Read about natural history and nature groups in your region of Ontario.

Are you interested in becoming a Nature Network member? Check out the Group Membership and News and Events sections for more information on how to get involved. In addition to connecting with groups across the province, Nature Network member groups receive benefits such as an insurance package.
