- That the required provincial policies on how to recognize and protect roadless areas have not been drafted, even though the deadline set by the environmental assessment is rapidly approaching?
- That there are only 7 roadless wilderness areas larger than 100,000 hectares left in the part of Ontario covered by the environmental assessment, three of them because they are already parks? There are only 40 roadless wilderness areas left that are larger than 20,000 hectares?
- That forestry companies are still pushing new roads into wilderness areas, based on approved timber management plans that do not recognize or protect roadless wilderness areas, old-growth forests or significant natural areas?
